Conor McGregor is Best for Business

Despite losing at UFC 196 to Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor very well may be the most interesting man in sport.  The Irishmen's improbable journey to the top of the UFC is about as inspirational as it gets and is one of those stories, in its roots, that reminds us why we love sport.

Here is an article detailing McGregor's rise:

McGregor is one of those people  that says what's on his mind and often comes off as cocky and arrogant.  Because of this the UFC's "Notorious" one his either loved or deeply hated.  But he and his promotor, Dana White, wouldn't have it any other way because it translates to one thing.  Money.  I love McGregor's antics and attitude because to me professional sport is about entertainment and he embodies that.  What I like even more is that McGregor is extremely humble in is work and approach that made him one of the best MMA's fighters on the planet.

Here is a video giving and inside look at Conor McGregor's life:

  1. McGregor is one of my favorite athletes. I watched his last fight, and he has nothing to be ashamed of. He moved up two weight classes which is unheard of. I like that he says what's on his mind. You need that mentality in this business I feel. When the fight is over, win or lose, he always shows respect to his opponent.

  2. McGregor is going to be one of the best athletes in the UFC except for Ronda Rousey, she's favorite overall UFC Fighter. It was a intense fight between McGregor and Diaz and when McGregor lost, he showed respect to his opponent and kept his head held high. That takes a lot of guts to jump up two weight classes to fight someone. I think there will be a rematch between those two.
